How far in advance do I need to order my cake?

Please try to order your cake as soon as possible. Cakes should ideally be booked up to 3 months in advance with Wedding Cakes 6 months in advance. We may be able to take orders closer to the date but this depends on availability. Please contact us for more information.

What size cake do I need?

The portion guide is intended as a guide only. The number of people a cake will feed will vary depending upon how deep the cake is and how the cake is cut.

Do you require a deposit?

The deposit is 50% of the value of the order and secures your slot in the diary. Please see Terms and Conditions for full details.

When do I need to pay the balance for my cake?

The balance needs to be fully paid prior to collection or delivery (payment via bank transfer or PayPal). Please see Terms and Conditions for full details.

Do you offer allergy-free cakes?

Cakes can be made gluten free / egg free / alcohol free etc, just ask. Please see Terms and Conditions  - Allergies & Special Dietary Requirements.

How much are your cakes?

Prices vary according to the size and complexity of the cake. Basic costs are detailed on this website albeit for a more accurate quote please contact me to discuss your requirements.

What flavours of cake can I have?

Just about any, within reason! The most popular remain chocolate, vanilla and lemon but if your heart's desire is a banana cake, then let me know and I’ll see what I can do! It truly is a bespoke service.

Can I have different flavours in my tiered cake?

Of course you can! If a mixture of fruit cake and sponge is required I would advise on having the fruit cake at the base given its weight.

​

Can you just ice a cake?

We understand the sentimental significance of having a family member bake your cake and we are happy to decorate this for you however we only do this for fruit cakes. We must ask that the cakes conform to our strict guidelines so that we can achieve an appropriate finished look and you are not disappointed with the end result.
